Removed and disassembled the brush housing to gain access to the release pedal. The pedal is held in place by two plastic arms that must be bent away from the pedal mounting tangs for removal. ... Read morein place. Since I had the brush housing apart I replaced the drive belt as a maintenance item as well as the Hepa filter. Cleaned the entire vacuum prior to re- assembly, just like new again.
I had already removed all parts and cleaned them and removed broken belt. Then looking at picture of parts on your web sight. Replaced all filters and reinstalled the belt turned on the vac and it works like a champ. This is bagless Bissell with Hepa Filter.
