1. Removed old handle assembly.
2. Installed lower half of the new handle assembly
2. Installed 2-wire quick connector for the LED power supply pigtail leads.
3. Soldered a wire on to each of the main power wires that provide power into the handle. These two wires had the mating coupler end that will be connected to t he power supply coupler half.
4. Installed the upper half of the handle.
5. Tested XPS light cut reference system and it worked just like the higher priced Dewalt DWS780 with the XPS light reference system.

I ordered the handle set, work light and power supply.
The easy to follow online videos gave great instruction.
I thought I was ordering only the top half of the handle for $13. Surprised to get top and bottom.
Did not need to change the bottom part, so left wires in place.
Only remotely difficult part was splicing the power supply leads into the existing saw power leads (black wire to black, white to white). Did not cut the main power leads, but just cut through the insulation and slid apart 1/8\" to solder in the smaller power supply wires. Watched several videos before cutting and it went well.
Not too impressed with the final LED light. Not nearly as easy to use as my Porter Cable red laser lights on both sides of the blade. But, better than no light at all.

eReplacement was really easy to work with and they had all the parts and instructions to make this conversion easy to do.
