Difficult to disassemble but once chuck is off reassembly was easy
This is a low cost \"Hyper Tough\" sold by Walmart. Their tech people had no idea about the left hand thread retainer screw required to hold chuck on in reverse operation. However a Ryobi drill also uses the same size retainer screw. Easy fix. Could not throw away a drill for a 2 dollar part and a few minutes of my time.
Thanks for the fast response and low cost parts.

Easily ordered received and installed new screw after extracting what was left of the old screw. Expected to have to buy a new drill instead of locating the proper left hand screw, but was pleasantly surprised when I located it at eReplacementParts.com.
