1. Removed head bolts that hold the gas tank mounting bracket, and move gas tank out of the way.
2. removed bolts holding recoil housing and slid it back and out of the way.
3. removed metal shield around carburetor and muffler, remove the muffler.
4. remove remaining head bolts
5. remove the head and old head gask

6. install new gasket and put the head back on, reinstall all parts in reverse order, and torque head bolts to mfg. specs.
