Product Description

It is a genuine OEM supplied replacement air cleaner element which is specially designed to fit Subaru / Robin engines that are commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. Its function is to remove dust and other harmful contaminants from the air that goes into the engine. Over time it may get dirty and clogged restricting the airflow, check your filters periodically and replace them as needed to maintain peak performance. This element includes the main pleated paper filter as well as the foam pre-filter and it is sold individually.

Older Subaru/Robin engine missing governor springs and linkages which are no longer available. Made my own governor links from coat hanger, made governor springs from stockpile of miscellaneous springs, replaced packing and sediment bowl, runs great.

Screw drivers, Wrench set
Removed carburetor air filter & mounting assembly
Removed carburetor from engine
Disassembled carburetor- removed old bowl gasket, needle valve, removed & soaked two air jets in carb cleaner and carefully dipped carburetor into carb cleaning solution (making sure NOT to dip plastic carburetor parts into the cleaning solution)
Reassembled carburetor with new parts & cleaned air jets
Remounted carburetor to engine
Remounted air cleaner mounting
Installed new element & old cover
