This is an authentic Subaru/Robin replacement part manufactured for use with small engines. The special ratchet spring is used to provide compression for the ratchet pawls that catch the flywheel when pull starting the engine. This ratchet spring is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.
