The spacer goes next to the o-ring and the other spacer. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and used in engines made by Subaru/Robin. This part is available as an individual replacement part. It may require a screwdriver during installation. This item is made of rubber and will need to be replaced if it breaks.

1. Shut off fuel valve.
2. Disconnected fuel line.
3. Opened fuel valve, drained old gas from tank.
4. Drained carburetor via drain screw.
5. Removed air cleaner assembly and disconnected ohv breather tube.
6. Removed carburetor and disconnected linkage.
7. Disassembled carburetor, cleaned METAL PARTS

8. Cleaned all intake gasket surfaces w/razor blade.
9. Reassembled carburetor with new parts.
10. Reinstalled parts in reverse order.
11. NEW GAS (high octaine, no ethanol)
12. (Took photos at each step for reference)
Removed carburetor,removed main jet and cleaned with solvent. blew out with compressed air replace gaskets and reassembled. start engine all is good again.(note ) i have been a mechanic for forty years.
