Troy-Built Mustang 50\" ZTR MOWER / TRACTOR
1. Disconnected & Removed battery to make room to get to solenoid. ...about 10 mins
2 Removed engine cover & starter ..about 20 mins
3 Disconnected & Removed solenoid, this is difficult due to location that is under the seat mount 1+ hour, lots of metric socket adapters an d extensions needed. You must do it by \"feel\" since everything is a blind removal. Very bad design for solenoid location.
4 reassembled with new parts and tightened all down, 45 mins
I suggest you take pics of all solenoid connections before disconnecting.

Remover the shroud around top of engine. took the started wire off post on starter. removed two bolts at top of starter and removed old starter. Mated the new started to engine and installed bolts. Attached red starter wire to the post. replaced shroud. New started working great.

Three bolt direct replacement new starter.Easy.
Straighten bent mount plate for muffler, mount with new bolts.
Pop on new belt tension spring using brake spring tool.
Great customer, look up assistance service by phone. Correct parts first time. Quick shipment and delivery. Looking forward to the next project .

Removed the old starter (2 bolts) Put on new starter and reconnected the wire. Easy fix

Lawn mover would not start

Check the Battery Level on water. Charged it (pull wirier off BOTH )
clean all contract (even at starter relay)
Pull starter off ( two bolts and 1 wirier)
put on new starter (two bolts first then wirier to starter )
put both wirier back on starter ( + pos first then - neg )
and started mover

Removed the old starter and installed the new one. Only had to remove the engine cowling and then two bolts and a wire. Fairly simple process.
