Removed engine from mower. Removed cowling. Removed heads and found them to be in pretty bad shape due to blow-by around head gasket. Also, the valves and head were quite dirty and in need of quite a bit of cleaning (1400 hard hours). So I purchased a set of new heads. Probably could have cleaned the old heads and resurfaced them.. . but I just bought new ones.
I\'m glad I put new heads on the engine. It purrs... and I think it will last a long time.
Very pleased with your service. Delivery was on time and the product was correct. I even have extra gaskets and bolts now because each head came with enough for two cylinders.
