This is a genuine Kawasaki part for use with Lawn and Garden Equipment Engines. The recoil starter spins the crankshaft to start the engine when you pull the rope. The main reason for replacing the recoil starter is if the engine won't start and the starter proves to be at fault. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the recoil starter is a ratchet and socket.
