The 35 year old fuel filter broke apart and needed to be replaced.
1) Must remove engine/gen combination from the frame in order to be able to remove fuel tank.
2) Remove tank.
3) Use razor blade to cut off old plastic filter.
4) Clean fuel pipe.
5) Seat replacement filter on fuel pipe.
6) Reinstalled t ank.
7) Reinstall engine/gen back into frame.

Mission accomplished.
