This spring-throttle return is an OEM part. It is designed for Honda engines that are commonly installed on a variety of lawn and garden equipment. It applies tension on the governor rod allowing it to retract. The governor system is like a cruise control system. It maintains the speed by adjusting the carburetor. Over time it may wear out and stretch eventually requiring a replacement. One durable metal spring is included. Refer to the diagrams for your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this hardware. It is best to use pliers to remove the old one and secure the new one.

I checked plug and it was getting fire. I then knew it was the fuel side that was not working. I removed carburetor and disassembled it . ... Read moreithout choke. Suspecting a vacuum leak,I sprayed some carb cleaner at base of carb where it bolted to the head and had a big rpm change. I then knew it was a vacuum leak. I took my flashlight and found the plastic block between carb and head had a Crack down the center. I ordered another block and the gaskets for the carb mounting. put it all together and it runs like new.
Removed Carburetor and replaced the parts that where in bad shape

All three springs either broke or stretched out over the last 10 years
Drain fuel, then remove fuel tank and spark plug. Now youGÇÖll have good visibility.. I took pictures of every component on machine, IGÇÖll use them later. I removed the two 10 mm bolts holding carb to engine, then remove it but take pictures of the governor linkage and springs. I ordered a complete gasket set for the carb, from engine b
... Read morelock to air box.. I used brake cleaner to clean engine.. Get new carb, install gasket between air box and carb, replace the gasket on the engine side of carb, then push carb bolts thru them, next is a metal plate, push bolts thru that, ( it has factory installed gaskets , install the black intake manifold on the block and thru the engine gasket, install linkage arm, return adoring, and keeping all the gaskets in place, then install choke lever, , put carb assembly against block making sure all the gaskets are still in place, torque the carb bolts, connect crankcase breather tube to air box.. connect fuel line.. eyeball everything, test choke, and move the governor arms to make sure they work smooth..
That s pretty much it..
