I removed the Honda CVS160 engine from the pressure washer base after disconnecting the pump. After removing the rocker/cam cover and discovering the broken exhaust rocker arm and damage to the camshaft I surmised that the timing belt had slipped and caused the damage. I then split the upper and lower portion of the engine case and pull ed out the defective timing belt. I had to remove a crankshaft coupling that was keyed to the crankshaft prior to taking the case apart. I installed the new timing belt and reassembled the lower case. I then replaced both rockers and the new camshaft/pulley and replaced the cam cover with new sealer. The engine started and ran perfectly showing that no damage had been done to the valves or piston.

Remove engine from mount (4 bolts ) easier to work with on bench. Remove 4 bolts holding cam cover , pry off cover being careful not to damage. Slide out retaining pin , remove gear. Drain oil and clean crankcase using air pressure. Inspect timing belt for damage. If ok install new gear. Secure with pin. Align crankshaft mark top center and cam gear with the block using markings on gear should be horizontal. Slide belt over cam gear. Check and make sure all is still aligned. Adjust intake valve to .006 and exhaust valve to .008 thousands if necessary. Replace cover using silicone sealant. Fill with correct oil. Reinstall motor and test. I ran engine for about 15 minutes then changed oil again to be sure all debris was removed. HAPPY POWER WASHING
