This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement piston ring set which is specially designed for use with Honda engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of these ring is to provide a tight seal between walls of the cylinder and the piston. A worn or broken piston ring will allow combustion gasses to escape the seal and enter the crankcase, causing low compression and a loss of power. If compression is reduced significantly, the engine will not run at all. Please note this high-quality set includes five durable metal rings. A wrench set will be needed to perform this repair.
