Product Description

?

This is a Genuine OEM Fuel Pump Replacement. It has a Plastic Body. A Fuel pump is used when the Fuel tank is mounted lower than the Carburetor and cannot rely on gravity to carry Fuel through the Fuel line. It is recommended to check for hairline cracks and other damage to the external surfaces of the pump. If it is damaged discard the pump and perform a fuel pump replacement.

11,000 watt generator powered by a 20hp Honda V-twin wouldn\'t start, used internet to diagnose problem was with the fuel cut-off solenoid valve.

Engine would not start, had spark (engine would run when poured gas in Carb). Used Internet to diagnose and isolate the issue to the solenoid. When working properly, the gas cut off Solenoid valve will make an audible \"click\" when the key is turned, mine did not.

When removing the solenoid valve, be sure to used the right size philips screwdriver, I didn\'t and buggered the head of one of the screws which caused me to remove the entire intake manifold and carburetor assembly. I then used vise grips to remove the screw.

It was good that I removed the entire assembly, I was then able to disassemble the carburetor and clean the contaminated gas and crud from the bowl, jet, etc. Fortunately the caskets and o rings were in good shape and everything went back together fine. Started instantly, I did install an easily accessible cheap fuel cut off in the fuel line ahead of the fuel pump in an effort to run the gas out when storing the generator....just need to pull it out and exercise the motor occasionally. Good luck
