A damaged or missing piston pin clip can let the wrist pin move and cause serious damage inside the engine. This 13 mm circlip helps hold the piston, wrist pin, and connecting rod together. Use the exact engine model, type, and code numbers to guarantee the proper fit. During installation, cover open engine areas so the clip cannot fall inside. Use the correct pliers or a small pick, and do not reuse a bent clip. Make sure the new clip is fully seated in its groove before putting the engine back together.

Knocking noise and stuck exhuast valve on Honda GCV 160 engine

Engine would not start, found stuck exhaust valve and broken rocker arm. Was then able to start engine, but then had knocking noise. Tore down engine and found play in connecting rod assembly where it connected to crankshaft. Replaced connecting rod assembly, new rings, honed out cylinder and replaced rocker arm. Cleaned all parts.
