This replacement carburetor is a genuine manufacturer-approved component which is utilized on Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of this part is to mix the air and the gas before the combustible mix goes to the engine. If the engine won't start and the tank is full of fresh fuel or if the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem.
