This mower belongs to my brother. Somehow, he broke the vane and lost the spring. And, it would not start. It was obvious that the vane was broken, so I ordered the part from ereplacementparts.com. After watching a YouTube video, it was easy to install. The video was instrumental in showing how to set the limits for the vane. Howeve r, the mower would not start. Adding a little gasoline to the carburetor made it run for a couple of seconds, but it would not stay running. So, I brought it to a guy who fixes mowers as a side job. He cleaned the carburetor, drained the tank, and filled it with fresh gasoline. It smoked a little in the beginning, but now runs fine. By the way, the YouTube video was produced by a regular guy, with no affiliation to any company.
