It is an authentic item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. A worn or a broken piston ring will allow combustion gases to escape the seal and enter the crankcase causing low compression and the loss of power. If compression is reduced significantly, the engine will not be able to run at all. This high-quality ring set is made of durable metal and is sold individually, keep in mind the set includes five rings. After 1000 hours the cylinders walls were in great shape as were rest of engine. 2 problems. 1st 1 head gskt was about to blow & little carbon on exhaust valve. Just basics.
