This is an authentic Briggs & Stratton replacement part. The fuel solenoid is commonly found in small engines. This is a complete assembly, and comes with a sealing washer. It is placed in the carburetor to shut off the flow of fuel when the engine is turned off. You may require a screwdriver when replacing this item.
