Genuine OEM replacement part, this item is sold individually. The 795629 Air Cleaner Gasket is attached to the part number 795259 Air Cleaner Base on one side and to the Carburetor on the other side. Its purpose is to create a seal to prevent small debris and particles from entering the carburetor and engine.

Lawn mower wouldn\'t prime which made it impossible to start

Remove the existing air cleaner base, installed the new air cleaner base and gasket. I used the new gasket and placed it on top of the old gasket to double up. I did this so the air cleaner base would get a proper seal so the primer bulb would actually function properly. After doing this, I primed the engine about 4 pushes on the primer b ulb. Pulled the starter rope 2 times and the engine fired right up on the 2nd pull.

Routine Maintenance

1. Removed Engine Air Shroud and Air Cleaner Housing.
2. Removed and Replaced Pre Air Cleaner and Air Cleaner Cartridges.
3. Removed and replaced oil and fuel filters.
4. Removed, Gapped and replaced Spark Plugs
5. Drained and added new oil.
6. Oil drain plug on Briggs & Stratton engine was a little dif ferent in that there was a cap and the drain plug acted as a valve. To drain oil you had to rotate it.

Check flywheel key, remove spark plug and air cleaner. Replace gasket between air filter holder and carburetor. Replace spark plug and gap at 0.30

very little compression ex. valve leaked

Completely disassembled engine cleaned all parts and repainted
honed the cylinder, regrind both valves
reassembled all parts by changing out all ordered parts.

Removed blade
Removed engine
Drained oil and fuel.
Removed crankcase cover and cylinder head.
Removed damaged camshaft assembly and oil slinger
Inspected crankshaft valves and lifters for damage (none)
Inspected installed crankshaft oil seal for tears/damage(none)
Used assembly lube on all mo ving parts.
Installed valves valve springs and keepers.
Installed lifters
Installed new cam aligned crankshaft/cam timing marks.
Piston at TDC rotated counter clockwise .250\" to check valve to lifter clearance
Installed sump gasket replaced cover and torqued bolts to spec
Installed new cylinder head gasket and torqued cylinder head bolts to spec
Finished reassembly installed motor on to mower deck put on new blade
Pulled starter rope it started let engine warm up get the oil flowing.
MADE sure there were no gremlins in the yard to kill my mower again and cut the grass.

Took carburetor off and cleaned flange for air box assemble replace gasket with the one I ordered and installed new air filter. Engine ran perfect. The parts work perfect.

Removed the air filter and assembly, replaced the new assembly and primer bulb along with new air filter assembly gasket. Installed the new air filter, primed the carburetor bulb three times and the mower started right up.
