This replacement carburetor is an authentic component which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The purpose of this part is to mix the air and the gas before the combustible mix goes to the engine. If the engine won't start and the tank is full of fuel, or if the engine starts and then quickly dies, the carburetor is likely the problem. This is a high-quality metal body carburetor which is sold individually.
