Replacement of \"worn-out\" starter.

Getting to the starter was quite easy. The only problem was the \"hidden\" second bolt bold holding the starter on the engine. I asked Briggs and Stratton for a suggested solution and got a very lame answer and found them to be of no help at all. In the meantime, I purchased a long shafted Torx 40 wrench. After that, all went well.

Starter bearing worn, starter rotor dragging.

Removed engine cover, remove engine heat shield, replaced starter and reassembled covers. Starter mounting bolts hard to get to, used torx headed socket to remove bolts.

Dismantle top shield, removed starter , used flywheel puller to remove old flywheel, reinstall flywheel, starter, clean engine cavities under shield, replace solenoid and reinstall shield, test
