This part is an OEM from Briggs and Stratton for use with Lawn and Garden Equipment, Engines. The governor spring applies tension to the throttle to control engine speed. The most common reason for replacing the throttle rod spring is when the engine doesn't throttle smoothly. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the governor spring is a 1/4 inch socket or nut driver, 3/8th-inch socket or nut driver.
