Product Description

?

This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part designed for lawn and garden equipment engines. This gasket provides an air-tight seal for the float bowl. Over time this gasket will shrink, become brittle and crack allowing for air leaks. At that time it should be replaced. It is made out of rubber material and it is sold individually. Replacing this item you would need a screwdriver.

The main jet and feed tube had gunk that needed cleaned out. The real issue was the solenoid at the bottom of the bowl. Debris was in it, and would not allow it to fully retract, partially blocking fuel flow to the main jet. I am going to need a new fuel solenoid, but these gaskets sealed everything up nicely.

I just replaced the parts i ordered on the carb. All parts fit as intended. However, the engine will start and run but quickly starts sputtering/missing. I also replaced the spark plug. Not sure what else is wrong but I think I can get the yard mowed with it. Just not running right.

1. I have a Murray 42\" lawn tractor with a Briggs and Stratton engine. It is 17 years old and the only work I had done on it was on the cutting deck. After this winter I could not get it to start.
2. The engine would crank but not start. I put new gas in and checked the filter. I checked the spark plug and they were good.
3 . I pulled the carburetor and cleaned the bowl, but the gasket was soft and brittle.
4. The engine would start bu once I pushed the throttle it would shutdown and not start back.
3.I decided I had to get into the carburetor. I bought the bowl gasket and the check valve. I pulled the carburetor down and cleaned it out. There was sludge in the bowl and jet. I rebuilt it with he new parts and the engine started in the first start.
