This is an authentic OEM sourced component which is specially designed for use with Briggs and Stratton engines commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. A governor spring/link helps to regulate the engine RPM's under load conditions. It provides an identical replacement for a damaged or a missing component that was installed on a new unit. To ensure the correct installation of this part please refer to the owners manual and the diagrams of your model. Note, one durable metal mechanical link/spring is included.
