Product Description
?This genuine replacement magneto is designed for Briggs & Stratton engines used in Toro lawn mowers. It plays a vital role in the ignition system by generating the electrical current needed to fire the spark plug. Made from high-quality materials, this part is sold individually. Note: The spark plug boot is sold separately. To replace the magneto, begin by removing the housing or covers from your mower. Next, remove the spark plug and bind the cylinder to prevent it from turning. Disconnect the ignition wires and remove the old ignition coil. Install the new magneto, carefully setting the correct air gap between the coil and the flywheel. Once installed, reassemble the unit and test for proper operation. A screwdriver set is recommended for this repair.

PS the reason for the paper from coil box is to allow the magnet on the fly wheel to pass and create the magnetic field necessary to create the spark that the spark plug uses to fire the fuel in the piston chamber that allows you to mow your lawn.
