The pull start unit broke

This was about as simple as it can get.
If possible, take a picture of the old, broken unit as it is installed on your machine. This may aid in the installation of the new part, determining proper alignment.
1) With a nut driver or socket set with extension, remove the 3 screws that hold the unit.
2). Install the new un it using the same 3 screws removed, snug to tighten.
3) Pull starter rope to check for proper installation. Finish tightening the 3 screws.

Congratulations. You have completed the repair. Time used, 15 minutes or less.

originally I tried to repair the rewind spring, and was unsuccessful. I ordered the new assembly, and when it finally came, it was very simple to install, and no adjustments were necessary. It probably only took 5 minutes to install, most of which I spent finding the right sized nut driver.
