This part is used to interconnect with the starter motor gear to allow the motor to rotate the flywheel when starting the engine. The hardware is included and the kit is priced as a single item.

Lawn mower flywheel gear ring stripped.

Screw drivers, Socket set, Wrench set
Parts Used:

Troubleshoot engine and order parts as required.
Disconnect battery. (Saftey Frist)
Remove engine cowling.
Remove engine cover to expose flywheel not.
Use impact drill to remove flywheel retaining nut.
Use gear puller to lift flywheel from engine shaft.
Drill out rivets holding ring gear to flywhee l.
Install new ring gear using bolt and nuts provided with new part.
Reinstall flywheel to shaft.
Timing key will most likely need to be replaced on shaft.
Install retaining washer and nut. Troque nut as required.
Reinstall engin cover and hood cowling. Start engine and test repair.

1. Remove flywheel nut
2. Use flywheel puller to remove flywheel
3. Drill out rivets holding gear to flywheel and remove gear
4. Install new gear with provided bolts and nuts
5. Install flywheel back on motor with square key lined up
6. Install flywheel nut and torque to spec
