Plastic choke broke

1. Removed the outboard engine cover.
2. Loosened and remove the choke lever
3. Loosened and removed 4 bolts holding the carburetor.
4. Removed brass choke from plastic choke
5. Pulled plastic choke lever out of carburetor
6. Inserted new plastic choke lever in carburetor
7. Inserted brass choke into slot on new plastic choke lever
8. Reinserted and tightened bolts holding the carburetor in place
9. Inserted linkage for choke lever and re tightened

I removed the engine cover, removed the choke butterfly screws, pulled out the the shaft and pushed the new one in and replaced the screws, then attached the choke cable. For the fuel filter, I used pliers to remove and replace the clamps. Put the engine cover back on with a nut driver. This was on a Briggs & Stratton 5 hp Outboard.

Removed top over intake then removed carburetor pull choke butterfly, remove choke shaft install new shaft, perfect fit, install choke butterfly re install carb intake not too bad

1. Removed the carburetor filter housing.
2. Pulled out the choke butterfly.
3. Removed the broken choke adjustment
4. Installed the new part and reversed the steps.
