Product Description

?

This starter pulley, also known as a recoil starter pulley, is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in outdoor power equipment. It includes the starter rope and plastic spool to hold the rope. Over time the rope may fray, tear, or the plastic spool may break. A faulty starter pulley will lead to difficulties pulling and retracting the rope, and starting the equipment. To replace the faulty parts, ensure the equipment is off and disconnected from power. Remove the starter housing/cover and remove the old spool and rope. Wind the rope around the new spool and tie a knot to secure it in place. Place the new spool and rope inside the starter mechanism and feed the end of the rope out of the hole in the housing. Reattach the starter cover to complete the repair.

pulled cover, replaced all parts needed. you have to make sure you wind up the starter spring enough so when you let the rope retract it returns all the way in. and if you pull the seal off the starter clutch, old part. watch out for ball bearings to drop. I couldn\'t believe that parts were still available for my 42 year old pincor gener ator. I almost junked it, now it\'s back in service running great. thanks for being there.
