1 Installed starter pull cord assy to cover housing via snapping into housing
2 Mounted cover housing on to engine, attaching coupling cup to pull sting opposite coupling half
3 Installed 3 ea screws into housing cover holes and tightened screws
Removed pull rope assembly ordered new one. Got here pretty quick, used screwdriver to separate winder from housing clicked New one in 4 screws to hold housing on done.
Removed top fascia to reveal 3 bolts to remove.
Removed engine cover.
Pulled back plastic retainer ring (no tools required)
Pushed back plastic tabs holding rewind in place. (May need a flathead screw driver to work them back)
Replace with new rewind in reverse order of steps above!
Removed the engine cover; I marked the screw location and used a common screwdriver to remove the broken starter,rewind; lined/snap the replacement part in the cover; removed/ installed new cup-flywheel.
Removed old rewind starter assembly, replaced cup flywheel, replaced sparkplug, filter.
Still wouldn\'t start after rewind starter was replaced. Needed a new spark plug also. Then started up.
