This is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part which is designed for use with Milwaukee equipment. It allows a user to secure drill bits. The ratcheting action clicks the jaws tightly into place for reduced bit slippage. If your drill's bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. Make sure to refer to the owner's manual for your model for the correct application. One durable 3/9" keyless chuck is included. A screwdriver will be needed to remove and resecure the screw that holds this chuck.
