The shaft fits between the gear and the washer. It is a genuine Milwaukee replacement part used in compatible drills. This item is available as an individual replacement and is made of metal. When replacing this part a screwdriver may be needed. This item may become broken and will need to be replaced.
1. I removed the striped gear along with the associated bearings and washers.
2. Repaired a broken bushing socket in the housing with JB Weld.
3. Replaced the gear and parts.
4. Reassembled the drill and it works fine.
