This is an authentic OEM sourced retaining ring which is designed for use with Milwaukee electric drills. It is the special hardware that is secured on the spindle sleeve to secure the shear pin. This item provides an identical replacement for a missing or a faulty component that was installed on a new unit. Refer to the appropriate diagrams of your model for the exact location and the correct installation of this retaining ring. One durable metal part is included. You will need pliers to remove the old one and secure the new one.
