This is an authentic OEM approved replacement armature assembly which is designed for use with Makita drywall screwdrivers. The armature is the central component of an electric motor, due to constant contact with carbon brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. This complete assembly is sold individually, it includes the armature, the plastic fan, the armature bearing and the commutator end bearing.
