This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced replacement part that is supplied for use with lawn and garden equipment. It is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released on walk-behind lawn mowers and edgers. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please note this high-quality rubber insulated metal cable is sold individually, keep in mind that the housing and other components are sold separately.
