This part has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with lawn edgers from Powermate and Southland. The metal blade can wear down over time and begin to shred the lawn. If the blade wears down it will need to be replaced to maintain clean edges around the lawn. This blade is available as an individual replacement part.

Removed old recoil starter by removing 3 screws and place new recoil starter on motor with the 3 removed screws. Replaced blade by removing nut and removing old blade. Placed new blade on and tighten removed nut.
Use a wrench to remove the bolt put the new blade on and tighten the bolt.
