Edger drive shaft snapped off.

This was a 25 year old KMart KGro edger made by Murray.


Took safety covers of of the edger.
Relieved belt tension and removed belt from pulley
Removed all nuts and washers on both ends of the shaft
Removed belt pulley and key from spline in shaft.
Knocked bearing assembly out with a dead blow ha mmer.
Cleaned parts, reinserted bearings in shaft housing.
Tightened nuts and washers on shaft.
Replaced blade and nut.
Reattached belt on pulley.
Reinstalled safety covers.
Changed the motor oil in edger.
Started edger and did a test run.

took the blade part of the edger apart and repaired all things needed. All parts purchased from E-replacement fit very well
