?This is a genuine replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with blowers and edgers from Powermate and Southland. The plastic fuel fitting is used to couple portions of the fuel line between the tank and the carburetor. This fitting is also used as a filter to prevent contaminants from entering the fuel intake. This fuel line fitting is sold as an individual replacement part.

Fuel filter needed replaced

2.) removed the 3 bolts holding the gas tank on the edger with 10mm deep socket.
3.) Removed the fuel line from the gas tank with pliers.
4.) Removed the fuel filter with a 12mm deep socket.
5.) Installed the new fuel filt ... Read more er and reattached the fuel line to the tank.
6.) Reinstalled the gas tank.
7.) Reattached the fuel line to the carburetor and refilled the gas tank.

2.took plastic guard off (2 screws)
3.removed hose with pliers
4.took off 3 bolts holding gas tank
5.removed old gas filter
6.installed new gas filter
7.put it all back together by reversing process
Carburetor broke and fuel filter broke and aire filter dirty.
