This is a genuine replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with lawn edgers from Powermate, Homelite, Southland, and Airstream. The hex nut is used to secure the cutting blade to the drive shaft assembly. A hex socket wrench can be used to fasten the nut, and it is sold individually.
