1. Flattened the retaining tabs on the old strap to allow for the removal of the nuts that
hold the blade on.
2. Removed the two nuts with socket wrench.
3. Removed old strap and blade and cleaned the whole blade area, removing all the dried
grass and dirt.
4. Put new blade and strap on and se cured with the two nuts.
5. Bent up the three retaining tabs on each end of the strap so they touch the nuts.
The strap and its retaining tabs are used to keep the nuts from loosening up during
edger operation.

Removed the two old nuts and old washer from the strap
Removed the old strap
Removed the old blade
Installed the new blade, strap, washers and tightened the new nuts
