Just took of the old one and replaced it with the new one. I must admit that I was nervous about ordering the new blade. I am old fashioned and like to see what I\'m getting. I was nervous that the new one may not fit but it fit perfectly and did a great job for me trimmer around my yard.
To remove the wheel, remove the bolt and nut that are holding it to the pivot arm. Replace the new wheel in reverse. Then simply remove the nut that hold that holds the old blade on, then replace it with the new blade. If you don\'t have the new type of washers for this blade you will need to order them.
Removed the bolt and nut from the pivot arm, then removed the cracked wheel. Installed the new wheel on the pivot arm with the bolt and nut. Just remove the the blade nut and washers and remove the old blade. Then just replace the inside washer,then the blade, outside washer and tighten blade nut.
1. Inserted screwdriver into the hole on each side of the blade to keep the blade from turning.
2. Used an adjustable wrench to loosen and remove the washer nut.
3. Removed the washer nut, the worn blade, and both blade washers.
4. Installed 2 new blade washers and the new edger blade.

6. Used an adjustable wrench to tighten the washer nut and secure the edger blade to the shaft.
Replaced with the new wheel which fit perfectly.
Also replaced the edger blade with the new model. Amazing difference in performance.
Very simple repairs. Spent about $20 instead of buying a new $80.00 edger.
