This item is an authentic OEM sourced part that is intended to be used with edgers from Black and Decker. The metal washer is used to secure the blade to edger's spindle shaft. This washer is used with edger's that have a spindle shaft that is not round but flat on two sides. This washer is sold as an individual replacement part, please note two washers may be needed.
