This is a genuine Ariens replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with lawn edgers. The metal blade guard attaches to the spindle bracket and is used to limit debris that is kicked up by the blade. The guard is available as an individual replacement part.

Wrong Part # Listed
I have received the wrong part from this company 3 times and I am still waiting to receive the correct part. When I called them on the phone they said "we will take care of it". I told them after the 3rd. time that they didn't take care of it. I told them that they actually need to fix the problem rather than just keep telling me they got this. The part # that the picture shows is the correct part. The part that they keep sending me is a thin black plastic piece with the same part number that is shown in the picture that I ordered (orange and metal). After 3 weeks I am still waiting for the correct part. I will update this if and when I receive the actual correct part. The people at the call center (IMO) have no clue on how to remedy this and when I ask to speak to a manager (or someone that actually knows something) they defer to their same answer that "they understand and they got this". Quite frustrating..............
