Remove screws from housing. Separate housings. I took a picture to know where all the internal part belong. Remove wires from motor terminals. Carefully remove the burnt motor, trying not to disrupt the other parts. Install the new motor and connect wires. Make sure all the internal parts are where they should be. Assemble housing.
New motor, bumper,hammer case, and housing case.... Once the spring clip was removed from the impact socket end..... It was a walk in the park...... Just have to remember how the tip came apart....if u get lost look at the schematic
Disassembled the impact tool
Removed the old motor and installed the new one
Cleaned everything with brake cleaner and dried
Lubed hammer assembly and reassembled.
Saved a lot of money.
Removed screws from drill body
Removed two clips inside battery compartment
Separated drill body
Removed motor & installed new motor
Reassembled & impact driver, is good as new!
