Remove all screws on the one side of the drill. Separate the case halves. Pull up motor assembly. Disconnect the motor wires. Install new motor. Reconnect wires making sure red wire is connected to the terminal with red dot. Replaced pan head screw that attaches it to the plastic plate. Reinstalled motor into planetary gear train. If a li ttle metal clip about a quarter inch wide and one and a half inches long falls out when you open the case halves, it goes back under the drill torque know to keep it from slipping when you change the torque sttting. Reassemble the case halves back together and reinstall the screws
