Drill Press Switch Replacement.
(Disconnect power cord from power outlet)
1. Removed the switch plate by taking out three 3 mm Allen screws,
2. Disconnect the spade connection on the back of the control module (CM). This unit controls the LED lights, laser and RPM display. (If needed take a picture or draw a digram of t he wire connectors.
3. Remove the 4 black screws holding the CM to the cover & gently remove the unit. The RPM display is pressed onto the cover.
4. Disconnect wires on the power switch by removing the four treminal screws. Take note of the wires that go to the motor and the power leads from the CM. The CM side of the switch has little white wires onto the switch to power LED indicator on the switch button. These connections are ring terminals so the screws must be completely removed.
5. The cover plate and switch should now be completely untethered.
6. If you did not purchase a new label, remove the cover label from the old unit and attach it to the new one. The label wraps over the right side of the cover.
7. Install the CM by pushing it gently into the cover from the back. Secure with the 4 small black screws.
8. Reconnect the power switch by reconnect the ring terminals wires going to the motor and jumper wires to the CM. On the switch be sure that black or white wires are parallel to each other.
9. Connect the jumper wires to the CM: white is on the top (GÇö Horizontal) and black is on the side ( l Vertical) of the circuit board. Be sure the Circuit boards on the CM is squarrely on the standoff and all connectors are snug
10. With all wires connected install the switch unit back into the face plate. The button labelGÇÖs right side fits between the cover and drill press housing. So slide the right side in 1st.
Note:
A. Both the table lighting LEDS must be conncted before they work. If either is not connected none work.
12. Before securing the switch unit with the three allen screws.
Plug it in and give it a test.
13. If all is ok lock it in.
