This is an authentic OEM sourced component which is specially made for use with Ridgid drain cleaning machines. The coupling allows a user to repair a damaged 3/8" cable. Please make sure to refer to the owner's manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this hardware. Keep in mind this high-quality item is made of a durable metal and is sold individually. The repair end threads over the top of the existing cable. Note, the coupling can also be welded to the new cable.

Cut off bad end and put new end on, was a little difficult to get started, but went on like a glove once started, and works great, thanks for the help and video which was a very big help
I cut off the damaged end with a Die Grinder. The Die grinder worked great.
I welded the replacement end with a TIG welder set at 100 amps. For some reason I had trouble starting and maintaining an Arc. Although I was happy with the results, next time I will try the repair with my stick welder.
