The purpose of this bushing is to provide a tight seal for the idler arm allowing it to rotate with minimum friction, unfortunately, over time it may wear out, get damaged or lost eventually requiring a replacement to ensure top performance. Keep in mind the bushing is made of durable metal and is sold individually. Make sure to check the diagrams of your specific model for the correct location and application of this hardware.
